The Alzheimer’s Association International Conference 2019 (AAIC) began on Sunday, July 14th and goes until July 18th. This year, the conference is held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in downtown Los Angeles, CA. The conference attracts researchers from around the world, and people from many different countries present their work at the conference. This year at the conference, there are over 60 Wisconsin-based research presentations including several oral presentations. UW-Madison studies that CCANDL works with such as the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) and the Wisconsin Registry for Alzheimer’s Prevention (WRAP) will share some of their scientific findings and some of the processes they used in their research. The goal of the conference is to further Alzheimer’s research around the world to find ways of preventing and curing Alzheimer’s disease.
