CCANDL’s Hannah Belay was awarded with a Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center Research Education Component (REC) Professional Development Award. REC awards are given to support Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia (ADRD) researchers in participating in educational and career development activities related to ADRD. Hannah will be using the award towards registration costs of the On Aging 2021 American Society on Aging Virtual Conference. She will be presenting her research poster titled, Communication Behaviors that Manifest as Episodes of Lucidity in Persons Living with Dementia: A Scoping Review. She is looking forward to presenting at this multidisciplinary conference which will focus on how inequities relate to ASA’s themes of, social justice, health & well-being, economic security, ageism & culture, and innovation & social impact.
