Elizabeth Evans, one of our second year graduate SLP students recently published an article titled “Implementation of a Racial Equity Course within a Communication Sciences and Disorders Graduate Program: A Student Perspective” for the Winter 2020 Issue: Removing the Stranglehold of Racism in CSD for the Journal of the National Black Association for Speech-Language and Hearing.

In the article she discusses developing a course addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion within an SLP graduate programs and what she hope the course accomplishes which is beginning the discussion of race and equity that many SLP’s have not previously had.
